Money in the Bank is the next Premium Live Event that WWE will host after Clash at the Castle. It will take place in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday, July 6. Money in the Bank is one of the company's most important PLEs, as the winners of the Men's and Women's Ladder Matches will be guaranteed a title match in the future.

Fans can expect the match card for the event to be full and all champions to be in action. For the time being, the only confirmed title match is between the reigning World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and Seth Rollins, who returned to WWE after eight weeks after his loss at WrestleMania 40.

Heading into Money in the Bank and SummerSlam, more superstars are expected to return from their hiatus or injuries and set the tone for new storylines and feuds.

Let's take a look at three returns that can happen at MITB.

#3. Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has been out of action since RAW after WrestleMania 40 after Liv Morgan attacked her in a backstage segment. The Eradicator suffered a shoulder injury that has kept her out for eight weeks now, but her return is getting closer.

Fans can expect it to happen closer to SummerSlam, as Ripley has her sights set on the reigning Women's World Champion, Liv Morgan, and will look to take revenge. However, it wouldn't come as a surprise if Ripley came back earlier and appeared at Money in the Bank.

Her return could happen even if she doesn't have a match. On that occasion, she could distract Liv, who is expected to put her title on the line against Zelina Vega and set the stage for their match at SummerSlam.

#2. Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair has been out for way too long, as she suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during her match against Asuka back in December 2023. She is expected to make a full recovery, and she is progressing well, which makes her return during the summer a likely scenario.

Like Ripley, she could make her return at Money in the Bank to start her feud with Bayley, who is awaiting her next challenger. Once The Queen is back, she will get a shot at the Women's Championship, so an appearance at MITB would make sense for her and WWE.

#1. Roman Reigns could return at Money in the Bank 2024

The Tribal Chief has been out since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, but he is advertised for the final SmackDown before SummerSlam. Still, he could make his return earlier, as Solo Sikoa is set to take on The American Nightmare for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Roman Reigns is set to start a Civil War with Sikoa, who has taken over The Bloodline, and what better way to do this than appearing at Money in the Bank and distracting Sikoa? That way, he could cost him the match and set the stage for a match at SummerSlam.

It is unclear what angle WWE will follow on this occasion, as it is likely that Roman Reigns and The Usos will reunite to take on the new version of The Bloodline.
