John Cena travelled from town to town with Funaki, the Bashams, Tajiri and Ultimo Dragon during the early days of his WWE career.

Then, after gradually working his way up the card and becoming a regular main-eventer and multi-time World Champion, “Big Match John” made the smart decision to maintain his health and prolong his career by travelling on his own bus.

In September 2016, the topic of him riding on private buses and planes was brought up by on-screen rival Dean Ambrose, who mentioned on SmackDown Live that Cena had become “lazy” due to his extravagant lifestyle.

Cena defended himself on an episode of Talking Smack after the show, claiming that he needs to travel in the way that he does because he is constantly working and promoting shows outside of WWE.

On that particular day, the 16-time World Champion was set to jump on a plane to do media for Total Bellas, while he was also busy with reality show American Grit at the time.
