In early 2002, the WWE saw an influx of future stars.
Brock Lesnar debuted the night after WrestleMania X8, and rookies by the names of John Cena and Randy Orton debuted not long after.
But in this group, emerged a new Superstar, a new animal that would change WWE's landscape forever: Batista.
Making his presence known in '02, Batista would win his first World Championship three years later, and is a former Tag Team Champion, and two-time Royal Rumble winner.
A leading man in Hollywood, the Animal has had a truly epic career, and has made plenty of friends along the way.
However, there have been some WWE Superstars that for one reason or another, Big Dave hasn't been able to see eye-to-eye with.
Here are three WWE Superstars Batista likes, as well as two that he probably doesn't.
#3 Likes: Titus O'Neil
The careers of Batista and Titus O'Neil couldn't be more different.
Whilst the Animal got his big break in Evolution, before breaking from the group as a singles star and later World Champion, O'Neil would start on his own in the original NXT show, before becoming better known as a tag team wrestler, with Darren Young and later Titus Worldwide.
Despite their differences though, the two are close friends, with the Marvel Studios star being very critical of O'Neil's suspension for touching Vince McMahon in 2016.
A very harsh punishment, O'Neil's suspension did at least allow him to spend more time with his good friend, though the loss of income that came from his suspension must've still stung for the former Florida Gator and former tag team Champion.
#2 Probably doesn't: AJ Styles
Whilst Batista may have been considered one of the biggest stars in WWE from 2005-2010, over in TNA Wrestling, it was AJ Styles who firmly held that moniker.
And whilst Styles has since joined WWE, appearing at the 2016 Royal Rumble, the Animal was very critical of the Phenomenal One's in-ring ability.
Speaking to the British tabloid 'The Sun' Batista said of TNA:
"I've (also) seen clips of their car wreck matches, with AJ Styles doing his stunts. That's not wrestling, wrestling is storytelling."
Rightly miffed, Styles would fire back against the Animal, saying:
"I think it's funny that a guy who takes a bump and tears his back is telling me that I don't know how to wrestle."
Whilst a match between the two could be possible in the future, don't bet on it.
#2 Likes: Rey Mysterio
When Batista was drafted to SmackDown in 2005, he didn't have the best starts.
Joining the blue brand as the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista reportedly made many enemies backstage after criticising the brand as the B-Show.
One friend he did make though, was Rey Mysterio, as the WWE's ultimate underdog was kind to the Animal, and helped him find his footing on the show.
Seeing their friendship backstage, the WWE partnered the two together, with Rey and Batista winning the WWE Tag Team Championships from MNM that same year.
Whilst their reign would not last long, and the two would even feud in 2009 after Batista's heel turn, it seems that nothing could separate the two, who remain close friends even after the Animal's departure from the company in 2014.
#1 Probably doesn't: Alberto Del Rio
When the fans refused to get behind Batista following his 2014 Royal Rumble win, the WWE needed something to change.
Therefore the plan was made to have the Animal feud with Alberto Del Rio, which actually saw more fans side with the full-time Mexican Aristocrat.
Backstage though, the pair had legitimate heat against each other, which would end up on social media, as Batista would act like he didn't even know who Del Rio was, and later describing the former World Champion as a "C-Level star in a B-Level star era".
Del Rio wouldn't take this lying down, as he mocked the Animal for his MMA losses, with Del Rio being a former MMA star himself.
Meeting at Elimination Chamber 2014, Batista handily defeated Del Rio, but was booed by the crowd.
#1 Likes: Triple H
This shouldn't come as any surprise, but Batista and Triple H are very close friends.
Interestingly though, Batista's SmackDown debut in 2002 would come at the expense of The Game, though the future Drax the Destroyer would join Evolution the next year.
Under the King of Kings' tutelage, the Animal would quickly rise through the ranks on Monday Night RAW, winning the 2005 Royal Rumble, and turning on his mentor.
Meeting in the main event of WrestleMania 21, Batista would dethrone Triple H, something The Game was happy to do, to see his protege take the top spot.
Reuniting on the odd occasion years later, a rumored WrestleMania 35 between the two was in the works, before Triple H's injury at Crown Jewel has thrown any future plans for the two up in the air.
