Finn Balor made his way to the main roster in 2016, as the fifth pick of the 2016 WWE Draft. Immediately upon his arrival on WW RAW, Balor won a Fatal 4-Way match that also featured Rusev, Cesaro, and Kevin Owens. He went on to defeat Roman Reigns to bag an opportunity at the Universal title, that WWE had established a short while ago.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
