Lars Sullivan’s main roster call-up was one of the most anticipated debut in WWE since he was announced as one of the four NXT stars who would be arriving on the main roster in 2018. Due to his muscular body, fans thought he would be booked as a monster by Vince McMahon. However, his main roster debut was delayed multiple times due to his mental health issues and when he made his presence felt on Raw after WrestleMania, he destroyed a retired Kurt Angle.

Sullivan left the perfect first impression but then, his momentum plunged. In 2011, he made several inappropriate comments against WWE (and it’s wrestlers) which were leaked to the internet in May. Suddenly, he became one of the most controversial Superstars in WWE. Fans thought Sullivan’s WWE career is over but Vince McMahon chose not to fire him and instead put a $100,000 fine on him. Later, The Freak got injured on SmackDown and it’s expected that he wouldn’t return before the next 6-9 months.
