After Tommaso Ciampa debuted on the main roster, reports emerged that he has been dealing with a neck injury for weeks. WWE didn’t confirm the rumors earlier, but when things started getting worse, they wrote Ciampa off television so that he could have surgery.

During this year’s NXT TakeOver: New York, the Psycho Killer attempted to turn on his former best friend Johnny Gargano, but Gargano quickly turned things around and attacked Ciampa. Before this story could further develop, Ciampa vacated his NXT Championship, and things got stuck in between. As per initial reports, his neck injury was way more dangerous than we expected it, but recently, the Blackheart gave a positive injury on his neck injury:

Got the results to my two month follow up x-ray.
Doc said, “this doesn’t look good...it looks great”.
Happy Birthday to The Greatest Sports Entertainer of All Time#PartMan #PartWolverine#AllBlackheart 🖤

As of now, he is expected to miss six months worth of action before stepping his foot back in the ring.
