#1 Wrestler that wants to face him: Sting
Sting has been vocal about his desire to have a dream match with The Undertaker for years now. He wants to face him at the Shows of Shows. When Sting first joined WWE in 2014, fans thought a clash between The Stinger and The Undertaker was absolutely guaranteed. Instead of the match seemingly everybody wanted to see Sting instead stepped into a WWE ring for the first time in a match against Triple H. This resulted in his first match in WWE being a loss. After a pair of short matches on episodes on RAW, Sting would challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship in what would turn out to be his final match. The WWE Hall of Famer suffered an injury that sent him into retirement.
A few months ago, The Icon talked with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated and said this to him:
"If there was a 'Taker situation at WrestleMania, I would listen to that phone calI. I could get in condition and I could pull it off."
There was apparently some talk about finally puting Sting and The Undertaker in the ring at WrestleMania this year but we now know that such won't be the case. WWE's most loyal Superstar has chosen AJ Styles as his opponent for this year's event. Don't be surprised if The Stinger does end up returning for this dream match later this year, or even next year at WrestleMania 37 in Hollywood, where both men could potentially call it a career. It's WWE, so while it may seem like the ship has sailed on this match, you can never say never.
