Rob Van Dam, when debuted in WWE, was expected to become the face of the company. He had the fans behind him and was ready to rock the world.

However, due to multiple reasons, RVD never became the company’s face. Later, he became a mid-carder and then a jobber.

In his debut WrestleMania match, Rob defeated William Regal for the Intercontinental Championship. 2 years later, he teamed up with Booker T and retained their World Tag Team Titles against three other teams.

In 2006, Rob won the Money In The Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 22 by defeating Ric Flair, Bobby Lashley, Finlay, Matt Hardy, and Shelton Benjamin.

Rob fought his final WrestleMania match as a part of The ECW Originals and defeated The New Breed. He then left WWE for some years before returning in 2013.
