What was an unfortunate injury for Ali turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. After replacing the former 205 Live Superstar in the Elimination Chamber match at the PPV of the same name, Kingston won the heart of every member of the WWE Universe and the crowd in the arena cheered him throughout the match.

WWE was once again forced to change their plans and Kofi Kingston challenged Bryan for the WWE Championship at the Show of Shows, which was originally supposed to be Kevin Owens.
