Finn Balor could be a perfect candidate to fill the void of Dean Ambrose, and he is number one in this list. Balor won the Intercontinental Championship at the Showcase of Immortals as he defeated Bobby Lashley. Moreover, the newly crowned Intercontinental Champion defended the title on RAW this week when he fought Sami Zayn.

Balor has immense popularity in the WWE Universe. The leader of the Balor Club had enormous success in NXT where he was the longest reigning NXT Champion. He was also the first ever Universal Champion, and he is a two-time Intercontinental Champion.

Both Rollins and Reigns had excellent matches with Balor in the past. Therefore, the two men are familiar with Balor and the latter could be a great addition of The Shield. Being part of a stable is not a new task for Balor as he was part of the popular Bullet Club in Japan.
