The Phenomenal One has had a very memorable 2018. Currently, he is having an exceptional feud with Daniel Bryan and it has been one of the best feuds of the year. Styles had a remarkable match against Daniel Bryan at TLC, but he lost the match.
Styles started the year as the WWE champion. He held title 371 days which is the eighth longest title reign in the recent history. He had an impressive title reign, and he had some notable feuds during his title reign. Styles defended his title at Royal Rumble in a handicapped match, and he beat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to retain his title. He also defended his title successfully in a six-pack challenge match at Fastlane.
Afterwards, he faced Nakamura at Wrestlemania 34, as Nakamura was the Royal Rumble winner and the feud continued for a long period after Wrestlemania. Styles had an intense rivalry with Samoa Joe, and they locked horns a couple of times. However, Styles lost to Daniel Bryan on Smackdown Live when Bryan turned heel.
