Over the years, a lot of former WWE Superstars have spoken about how important it is to be liked backstage and certain protocols that WWE Superstars are always expected to follow.
There has been some unrest backstage in WWE recently and a number of Superstars have heat backstage right now while others are still universally popular among their peers.
#3 Backstage heat: Lio Rush
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Lio Rush is in the doghouse right now with both management and a number of Superstars backstage. It was recently reported that Rush has massive heat backstage for a number of issues, from being unhappy with having to do certain things backstage rookies on the main roster are expected to do, to inviting people backstage at a television taping.
Rush recently came out and gave an interview not sanctioned by WWE and that won't help. It has also been reported that Rush has also angered several veterans who tried to offer him advice.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently blew off on Rush during an interview on Busted Open Radio:
“The reason that I’m angry is because I pull him aside and told him ‘Hey man I’m hearing stuff in the locker room, what’s up?’ (Rush’s voice) ‘Oh no, there’s nothing wrong.’ That’s a blatant lie to my face! I was trying to help him. I was trying to let him know that if you have a question to ask, now is the time because you’re very likely not going to run into anyone that knows the system like I know the system. And he didn’t do that. He lied to my face."
#3 Loved backstage: The New Day
Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are three of the most popular Superstars in the locker room. The easy going trio love to have fun and it's easy to see why everyone backstage was behind Kofi Kingston as he chased the WWE Championship in the run up to WrestleMania 35.
The New Day's popularity is also pretty evident from what we've seen on Xavier Woods' YouTube show UpUpDownDown.
#2 Backstage heat: Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks has heat with management since WrestleMania weekend where she was reportedly upset after finding out that she and Bayley would be dropping their women's tag-team titles. Banks reportedly asked for her release from WWE later in the weekend and has not appeared on WWE since.
However, there is still a chance that she could agree to come back to WWE. However, there is also a chance that WWE could freeze her contract if they can't convince her to return.
#2 Loved backstage: Seth Rollins
Another Superstar universally loved backstage is the current WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. He's a great influence backstage and several WWE Superstars have spoken about Rollins' passion for wrestling rubbing off on the rest of the locker room.
Legends like Shawn Michaels and Sting have praised Seth Rollins for his talent and attitude. Sting said the following about Rollins during an interview:
"The biggest pleasure. I’m honored. After 30 years and working with some of the best and some of the greatest, [Rollins] is, I’m telling you, he’s got to be the best I’ve ever worked with."
#1 Backstage heat: The Revival
The Revival recently turned down a 5-year deal worth reportedly around $500,000 a year each. They still want to leave the WWE and Vince McMahon is not happy. WWE added 2 months to Dash's contract to make up for time missed due to injury and their burial has seemingly begun on television.

#1 Loved backstage: Roman Reigns
Despite often being a polarizing figure for fans, Roman Reigns is universally loved backstage in the WWE locker room. Roman is one of the locker room leaders and is respected by the boys in the back.
Aleister Black shared a story of how Roman had told him he belongs, backstage during his first WWE European tour. A lot of other Superstars have similar things to say about how supportive Reigns is backstage.
