The Monster Among Men still hasn't broken the glass ceiling

Braun Strowman is a talented wrestler and a great entertainer for a man of his size, but he still hasn't reached the heights many fans had expected him to. The blame rests on his massive shoulders and his odd booking.

Strowman played second-fiddle to Roman Reigns throughout 2017 and 2018. He was always overshadowed by Reigns and was denied the spotlight he deserved. He did battle with Brock Lesnar for the Universal title on multiple occasions, but he failed to capture gold and was defeated clean by Lesnar every time they went one on one. He won the Money in the bank contract this year, but that still wasn't enough to earn him his first world championship in WWE.

Strowman can also be blamed for his current position. Backstage reports indicate that Strowman has discipline issues that are preventing him from becoming Universal Champion. It would be a shame if he never wins that title as he really deserves every bit of it.

However, WWE's current booking makes me doubtful that Strowman will achieve much success in 2019.
