The atmosphere in the Titan Towers has been one of chaos, ever since AEW announced their very first show, set to broadcast in May 2019.
The wrestling corporation hasn't even produced a single episode yet, but has made enough waves on social media to leave Vince McMahon in a state of worry. The company is reportedly backed by a billionaire and is signing some of the most sought after stars in the wrestling world at the moment.
Chris Jericho has already joined the bandwagon, along with Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega. On the other side, multiple superstars have requested their release from the WWE, most notably Dean Ambrose, Mike and Maria Kanellis, The Revival and Tye Dillinger.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Let's take a look at three WWE employees that could leave the company and try their luck at the brand new wrestling giant known as AEW.
#3 Shinsuke Nakamura
Last year, Nakamura was the talk of the town during WrestleMania season. He won the Royal Rumble match and battled AJ Styles on the grandest stage of them all. This was a highly anticipated rematch from NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom PPV, but failed to surpass that match by a long shot.
Nakamura lost, and hit AJ with a low blow after the match and turned heel. Things were looking promising for Nakamura post WrestleMania, but it was all for naught! He lost to AJ on multiple occasions after Mania, finally giving up and going back to the mid card. Since then, the King of the Strong Style has been reduced to a mid card jobber.
Shinsuke Nakamura has made a name for himself, wrestling all around the world in various promotions and finally landing the prestigious WWE contract. Unfortunately, WWE failed to capitalise on his global popularity and things seem to be getting worse with each passing day.
Maybe it's time for Nakamura to realise the bitter truth, and make a decision. AEW would be elated to sign him up with a fat contract, and even though no one knows how he would be handled there, it would certainly be better than the state he is in at the moment.
#2 Bobby Roode
Roode was one of the most popular superstars in TNA in its heyday. The news of his NXT signing came as a complete shock to the WWE Universe. Roode spent a considerable amount of time down in NXT, growing over the fans with his "Glorious" persona, complete with magnificent robes that mimicked the ones Ric Flair used to sport in the 80s.
The biggest mistake WWE made in handling the Roode character was turning him babyface upon his debut on the SmackDown brand. As time passed by, it became clear that the character wasn't receiving the kind of response it did back in Roode's NXT days.
After failing to bag the United States title at WrestleMania 34, he was drafted to Monday Night Raw in the Superstar Shakeup. Fast forward to today: Bobby Roode is being wasted in a throwaway tag team with Chad Gable.
It's safe to say that WWE has failed gloriously in pushing him. It wouldn't surprise me if we see him in an AEW arena before the end of the year.
#1 Braun Strowman
Hear me out! Even though this seems like the most far fetched idea in the world at the moment, things might not be the same a couple of months down the line.
Braun Strowman was pushed as a terrifying monster who would assist Bray Wyatt in his weekly escapades. Eventually, the group was disbanded and Braun became the hottest babyface on Monday Night Raw. After destroying every superstar that dared to cross his path, Braun finally got a chance to face the beast, Brock Lesnar at the No Mercy PPV in 2017.
Lesnar pinned Strowman in the middle of the ring, after delivering a grand total of ONE F-5! That's all it took to finish the monster. Months later, it took 6 F-5s for Lesnar to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.
Since the past couple of months, Strowman has been getting triple teamed by Corbin, Lashley and McIntyre, in one of the most meaningless feuds in Raw history.
WWE has dropped the ball with Braun Strowman, and it's time for him to defect before he gets turned into a glorified jobber.
