Cain Velasquez was the man who was originally scheduled to eliminate Brock Lesnar from the Men’s Royal Rumble match this year. This obviously didn’t happen because Vince McMahon wanted Drew McIntyre to take the honors.
There are currently no words as to why Cain Velasquez hasn’t returned to WWE yet. However, we strongly believe that he will be making his return sooner rather than later. Although he won’t face Lesnar at Super ShowDown or even WrestleMania (Ricochet and Drew McIntyre will do that respectively), there are other Superstars WWE could line him up against.
There’s still a lot of time remaining and it’s almost a guarantee that Velasquez will return for 'Mania. If he was fit enough to work at Royal Rumble, then why would WWE want to keep him on the sidelines? Right now, the biggest question is: which WWE Superstar is going to face the former UFC Heavyweight Champion upon his return?
