Uncle Howdy returned to WWE but did not return alone, and it looks like he won't be going solo anytime soon. It's clear he has recruited several absent superstars in the company to join him. After the events of the latest edition of RAW, some might even think that his invitation was extended to 32-year-old WWE Superstar Otis.
Uncle Howdy dropped several teasers and clues in the run-up to his arrival at WWE, including that he won't be doing so alone. He did not disappoint and returned with four other superstars, presumably Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacy. It was hinted that they attacked several stars and backstage personnel during their return, the most prominent being Chad Gable. Interestingly, earlier that night, the Alpha Academy leader also had a falling out with Otis.
For months, Chad belittled and criticized his fellow Alpha Academy members, especially Otis. On the June 17, 2024, episode of RAW, the latter had finally had enough and fought back against his former partner. While many could think that the 32-year-old had something to do with Gable being attacked by Uncle Howdy, that's not the case.
It's unlikely that Otis had anything to do with The Wyatt Sicks, or that he worked with them to take down his former partner. Still, although the attacks look random, Gable's recent character could have been frowned upon by Howdy.
Although Otis didn't work with Howdy, it's possible that the latter targeted Gable because he had been disrespectful to his group lately. The Wyatt Sicks' background story consists of people who were abandoned by a group they belonged to but eventually found each other to form a family. Family means everything to The Wyatt Sicks and Chad had disrespected his.
How did top WWE RAW star react to Uncle Howdy and The Wyatt Sicks' return?
Many fans were thrilled and excited about the debut of The Wyatt Sicks and how they were presented as individuals and as a group. However, this could also mean trouble for stars on the roster, and Jey Uso immediately expressed he didn't want to cross them.
On RAW Talk after the Tuesday Night Show, Jey expressed that he didn't want "no smoke with them." He even stated that the group could take back the "fireflies," or the lights that fans have also incorporated in his entrance, much like they did for Bray Wyatt.
It would be interesting to see how the Stamford-based will take the story of Uncle Howdy and the rest of The Wyatt Sicks forward.
