John Cena has kicked off his retirement tour, and the next stop is the 2025 Royal Rumble. The Cenation Leader made it clear that he is coming to win the Royal Rumble Match and get a title shot at WrestleMania 41.

As confirmed by WWE CCO Triple H, the Cenation Leader is expected to work on several premium live events, Live Events, RAW, and SmackDown shows, but it is still unclear who his opponents will be. Still, there is a wrestler who might make his WWE return and become part of John Cena's farewell tour. This wrestler is TNA star Joe Hendry.

Hendry is coming off a brief yet successful stint on NXT and has already teased a return at Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, he took to his social media and hinted at becoming part of the 16-time World Champion's farewell tour.

What could happen on this occasion is that Joe Hendry will have another brief stint after the Rumble as part of the collaboration between TNA and WWE, but this time on the main roster. There, the 36-year-old could work as a tag team with John Cena, since both are babyfaces and fan favorites, and have a couple of matches against a heel tag team, either on RAW or SmackDown.

John Cena says expectations for his farewell tour have to be 'realistic'

Even though he declared for the 2025 Royal Rumble and said that he was going to win it, John Cena wanted people to know that he is not expected to be in his prime during the farewell tour.

Speaking in the post-show press conference, he further explained his mindset, saying that expectations for the farewell tour have to be 'realistic.'

"I don't quite have the capacity to come in and demand main events. I just want to set realistic expectations for the audience. I see a lot of headlines. I kinda just wanted to let the crowd know that I'm just grateful to have a chance," Cena said. [h/t WrestlingInc.com]

The next stop on the WWE legend's farewell tour is Indianapolis on February 1, when the Royal Rumble will take place. Cena will also compete at the Elimination Chamber in Toronto on March 1, but it is unclear if he will appear on RAW or SmackDown in between.
