The former TNA star was beaten by her 'friend' in a triple-threat title match involving Stratton at Backlash: France (May 4). Bayley secured a rollup win to retain her title in Lyon.
Naomi could be secretly growing frustrated with her constant shortcomings at the expense of the champion. She may want Bayley's title taken away by any means necessary.
Naomi could use a character change
Naomi has been back in WWE for five months after spending two years away after a controversial exit in 2022. She's still majorly over, and her popularity has made her a fan favorite on SmackDown.
However, the dancing gimmick perhaps doesn't allow Naomi to be taken as seriously as she deserves. It could be time for her character to be taken in a new direction and given a villainous streak.

Bayley is at major risk of losing her title at SummerSlam as Nia Jax looks to continue her dominant run. A clean victory is possible, while Tiffany Stratton could also cause a title change by interfering.
However, a bigger twist would be Naomi turning on Bayley and costing her the title. It would be a standout moment at the PLE in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 3. It would also allow the SmackDown star to lose her title while still looking strong.
