Rey Mysterio and The Latino World Order may have found themselves a new enemy on WWE RAW amid their feud with The New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods may find themselves an unlikely ally against the Hall of Famer and his group.

The New Day became one of the most hated factions on WWE RAW after they betrayed Big E during the group's 10th anniversary celebration. One star who has since stood against them is Mysterio. Last week, Kingston and Woods had another argument with The LWO. This led to the Hall of Famer challenging them to a tag team match. Chad Gable could now help the heel duo against the babyfaces.

Gable has been busy on the Monday show after renewing his feud against Alpha Academy. Last week, he defeated Otis and claimed that they were already "through," implying that the rivalry was over. After the match, Mysterio approached Otis backstage to cheer him up but was interrupted by The New Day.

The 38-year-old American Made leader can take offense to Mysterio siding with Alpha Academy. As a result, Gable can help The New Day on the red brand if a six-man tag team match is made official for next week. The former Olympian aligning with Kofi and Xavier can also be his way of renewing his feud with The Master of the 619 and the rest of The LWO.

Why did The New Day blame Rey Mysterio for the cancellation of their WWE RAW segment?

The December 16, 2024, episode of the Monday show was initially set to feature an appearance from Kofi and Xavier. However, this segment never took place, and the duo quickly blamed Mysterio for what he did earlier that night.

During that aforementioned episode of WWE RAW, Rey Mysterio banned Kofi and Xavier from entering the locker room as many superstars inside weren't happy about what they did to Big E.

Kofi then claimed that they weren't able to appear on the Monday show at that time due to the actions of the "locker room leader." They argued that since they weren't welcomed to the locker room, they could not change clothes and couldn't work.

"I’m seeing that many people were very upset that we didn’t get to come out & address the crowd last night on #WWERaw as advertised. Blame “locker room leader” @reymysterio. Since he denied us a place to change into our work clothes, we could not work. So we went home. Thanks Rey."
