38-year-old superstar breaks silence after joining popular stable on WWE RAW

A 38-year-old WWE Superstar has broken his silence since joining a popular stable last night on RAW.

Ahead of last night's show, WWE shared a video featuring Alpha Academy's Chad Gable, Otis, and Maxxine Dupri. Gable and Otis were preparing for their match against New Day last night on the red brand when Akira Tozawa interrupted. Tozawa seemingly thought he was a part of the group, but Chad informed him he was not part of the stable.

However, Gable told Tozawa that he liked his moxie, and Otis presented the veteran with an oversized Alpha Academy t-shirt. The former Cruiserweight Champion then took notes ringside during the group's loss to New Day and was demolished by Bronson Reed in a singles match later on the show.

Akira Tozawa took to social media today to break his silence after joining the group. He shared a picture from last night's RAW and noted that it was Day 1 of his time with Alpha Academy.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo believes Alpha Academy could be standalone stars

Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently suggested that Chad Gable and Otis could be singles stars if the group were ever broken up.

Otis broke out on his own after his time in the Heavy Machinery tag team ended. The big man won the Money in the Bank Ladder match in 2020 but then lost the rights to the briefcase to The Miz.

Chad Gable recently had a singles run against Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Gable gave it everything he had but simply could not defeat The Ring General. The Austrian star recently boasted about making Chad's daughter cry during their match on the September 4 episode of WWE RAW.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws show, Vince Russo claimed that Otis and Gable would be singles stars in the company if given the chance.

"Bro, I think they could both be standalone stars. Really. I think putting them together as a team, I don't know, bro. Maybe there is a lack of tag teams, but I think they both have the ability to stand on their own." [From 04:30 - 04:52]
