The beat
The beatdowns continued this week

The purple ropes have seen quite a few beatdowns over the last few weeks and this episode of 205 Live promised to be no different.

Given the beating Kalisto received at the hands of Enzo Amore and his recently acquired 'allies' on the latest episode of Raw, it was apparent that Enzo would receive some retribution.

The show kicked off with a vignette recapping Kalisto's coronation and the beatdown that followed on the last episode of 205 Live. So without further ado, let's dive right into the action during 205 Live's last chance to hype us for their portion of the upcoming TLC.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Kalisto nearly knocks the steam out of the 'Zo-train

The Certified-G began this go-home show with a few below average puns about Seattle and its favourite son Kurt Cobain before he soon turned his attention to Kalisto. Calling Kalisto a 'jumping bean', he yelled that the Champion was only going to jump channels after he was done with him at TLC.

He went on to say that he built the division with his fist and proclaimed that the WWE gave him nothing but a microphone. The Certified-G continued to prattle on, insulting the WWE Universe while doing so, until the Champ blitzed to the ring just as Amore called him small.

A kick off the apron and a spring-board dive later, the Champ had Enzo in his clutches. However, the ever-wily Amore managed to slide out of the hold and avoid damage.

But we wouldn't have to wait for long, as the two were scheduled to fight later on in the night in tag team action.

The show continued with a vignette hyping the rivalry between the Cedric Alexander and Brian Kendrick and the insertion of both Jack Gallagher and Rich Swann into the storyline. This then segued into the match that came next.

Jack Gallagher (with The Brian Kendrick) vs. Rich Swann (with Cedric Alexander):

Swann began quick and runs right after Kendrick, who's on the apron. Kendrick avoided the charge but Swann remained undeterred and pursued his real target, Gallagher. Several quick acrobatic hits and misses later, Swann landed with a drop quick that sent Gentleman Jack to the floor.

Swann then established control further with a thumping Hurricanranna and looked to capitalise but the heel Gallagher just rolled out of the ring. Much to his dismay though, he was greeted by Alexander who merely tells him to re-enter the ring. Meanwhile, Kendrick used the distraction to sweep Swann off his feet from the outside and give his man the advantage.

Gallagher then used this to turn the tide in his favour, using headlocks to bide his time. The gentleman then targetted Swann's knee with holds and blows.

Swann did eventually manage to create some separation but Gallagher took his opportunity away by rolling out of the ring yet again. This led to Kendrick stopping a suicide dive and Jack flinging Alexander onto the barricade.

After a beating outside the ring, Jack Gallagher rolled Alexander into the ring to finish things off. A heroic Swann, however, took Kendrick out at ringside, giving Alexander the chance to land a huge boot.

Kendrick then saved Gallagher from a sure loss by yanking him out of the ring just in time.

The heels stay out for the ten count, giving Swann the win.

Swann wins by DQ.

The four will face off in tag team action at TLC.

Gulak continues his war against fun

This segment comprised of Gulak christening himself the 'father' of the WWE Universe and chiding his 'children' whenever they chanted.

He then continued his lecture and recapitulated the events of last week. His eventual presentation even brought on chants of 'this is boring' and rightfully so. Thankfully he didn;t go on for much longer, concluding by promising us all of his 227 rules next week.

Enzo Amore & Ariya Daivari vs. Kalisto & Mustafa Ali

A fired up Kalisto tried to get things started but Enzo just tagged Daivari in. However, Kalisto slid right into fifth gear after a slap and landed a hard Listo kick.

Amore then stepped into the ring to cut his momentum short, allowing Daivari to capitalise. This doesn't last for long though, as the high-flyers double team Daivari with eye-catching yet effective acrobatics. They continued their tandem offence but Kalisto remained distracted and kept his eye on Enzo. Daivari used this to his advantage eventually bundling the champ out of the ring and right into Enzo's waiting arms.

The champ is stomped in the corner by the heels in succession. The bullying continued until Kalisto used a DDT to create space. Ali was then finally unleashed.

Enzo found himself on the top rope soon after a few high-flying moves. Although he nearly managed to push Ali off the ropes, Ali flipped and slammed Enzo with a dropkick.

Daivari made the save but was thrown out of the ring for his troubles. Kalisto then tagged himself in as Ali hurled himself off the rope and onto Daivari. The champ's crossbody that followed did not secure him the victory but he did earn the three count moments later with the Salida del Sol.

Result: Kalisto & Ali win

Things didn't end there, however, as Kalisto dove onto Enzo and Daivari as they were about to exit the arena. Ali ran to his aid right after and the furious champ rained down rights on Amore as he scrambled down the ramp.
