Mysterio made a surprise appearance during the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble match, without signing a contract with WWE. However, later that year, he returned to the company again, and this time after penning down a contract. According to PWInsider, he signed a 2-year long contract with WWE with a clause that allows him to leave the company after 18 months if he wants to - April 2020, assuming he fixed the deal in September 2018.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Mysterio is a big Superstar in WWE, and the company will try their best to retain the masked legend. WrestleMania is a few months away, and Mysterio can opt to leave WWE somewhere around this pay-per-view. However, WWE could keep him in the company for long if they manage to offer a title to Mysterio, or an interesting storyline.

This will allow him to work as a champion in WWE again and will also all but guarantee that Mysterio wouldn't want to leave the company. Survivor Series is going to happen soon and it's unlikely that Mysterio will end up winning the title sooner than WrestleMania 36, since that would be the perfect opportunity to bring about a title win for a well-respected Superstar like Mysterio.
