#3 FOX will want WWE to have SmackDown take the victory
WWE has signed a 5-year long contract with FOX Network for SmackDown. They have paid over a billion dollars to the company and since their deal came into effect, WWE has booked SmackDown as the flagship show.
Roman Reigns will lead Team SmackDown at Survivor Series and he has promised to break the Blue Brand’s 2-year losing streak at the pay-per-view. His team also consists Mustafa Ali, Braun Strowman, Shorty G and King Corbin.
Since FOX has paid a massive amount of money to WWE, they’ll want the SmackDown Team to walk out victorious as it’ll make the brand look strong. The fact that they are indeed on a 2-year losing streak could also play ingo this. These could be moer reasona as to why Team RAW may not win this year’s Survivor Series Elimination Match.
#2 NXT benefits the most from a victory
NXT Superstars have seemingly taken over RAW and SmackDown. In the past few weeks, the Yellow Brand’s wrestlers have invaded on the other two brands and have dominated. Triple H has worked his soul to make NXT a resounding success and he, too, will want his team to look strong.
In the previous slide, we mentioned how FOX could influence WWE to make Team RAW the losing team, but in this one, we have taken another aspect. NXT airs on the USA Network on Wednesday nights and they have been struggling to gain a stronghold on viewership numbers for a while now.
If the brand wins the match at Survivor Series, it’ll send a huge message to fans watching the show and this could lead to them tuning in to NXT every single week. And if this is the case, then WWE as a whole would be best servied by having RAW take the loss, since both SmackDown and NXT would benefit most from looking strong.
