One of the better appearances from a WWE Legend on RAW on Netflix was that of John Cena. The 16-time World Champ announced his Retirement Tour for 2025 at last year's Money in the Bank.

The Leader of Cenation hit the ring for a promo that started with doubt, reticence, and passive exuberance. As he continued his message, however, his outlook changed.

Many fans expected Cena to ease into his retirement tour and work primarily on the undercard, but he surprised everyone by announcing his intention to win the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Before he put himself into the Rumble, he rattled off a few names he could potentially face before he retires. John Cena teased the next four blockbuster feuds during his appearance on RAW on Netflix.

#4. LA Knight was a recent ally

One person who should face John Cena on his retirement tour is LA Knight. He didn’t mention The Megastar by name but repeatedly said the letters "LA," relating how certain moments of his illustrious WWE career took place in Los Angeles.

WWE made a point to show LA Knight in the crowd relatively close to when Cena cut his promo. The two also teamed up against the Bloodline at one point in late 2023.

Having Cena face the guy he teamed up with before he retires would make sense, and it would also give a nice rub to LA Knight. They came up around the same time but had wildly different career paths.

#3. Gunther is RAW's top dog

Cena's promo on RAW on Netflix mentioned Gunther. Gunther is similar to Rusev in that he portrayed an anti-American heel but was more of a mat technician than someone who despised America.

The Ring General dislikes people who don’t take the in-ring product seriously, which is why he made fun of the Miz at one point. Gunther is the current World Heavyweight Champion on RAW.

Facing him at some point during the tour, including WrestleMania 41, would make sense as Cena tries to win his 17th World Championship.

#2. CM Punk and John Cena rekindle their infamous feud

Cody Rhodes and CM Punk have a history with Cena, and he mentioned both stars in his promo on RAW. All three performers are at different points in their careers. Punk famously left WWE in 2014 and returned a decade later to the same popularity.

His feuds with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins have been among the best due to their heated nature. Punk and Cena also represented different things when they were both at the height of their careers.

The Best in the World was the alternative choice to the bubble gum superhero portrayed by Cena. It would make sense to have one last program before The Leader of the Cenation hangs up his boots.

#1. Cody Rhodes is the New Era's John Cena

WWE had Cena face Roman Reigns a few times in passing-of-the-torch moments. Cena was long the top star of the company. The company decided Reigns was the next star to lead the promotion regardless of how fans reacted to his neverending pushes.

Rhodes has now taken that spot. His presentation is also very similar to Cena's. He routinely puts forth herculean efforts in some of his matches.

With Rhodes being "The New Face That Runs The Place," it only makes sense for the two stars to face off. WrestleMania 41 would be a potential spot as long as Rhodes still possesses the title in April.

It would be an interesting feud between two extremely similar performers. How far would each man go in promo exchanges leading up to the match? They could still take jabs but wouldn't be as heated unless they oppose someone like Kevin Owens or Punk.
