The Usos won their match for SmackDown, but this didn't actually matter
WWE's kick off show for Survivor Series was two hours long and featured a 10-team Elimination match between SmackDown and Raw's biggest tag teams. Once again, it was a fantastic match to set the tone for the show, but it was later revealed to be completely pointless.

The Usos were victorious and took the win for SmackDown Live, but when the main show started, WWE made it clear that SmackDown's win didn't count, which meant that there were only six decider matches on the card and it wouldn't have been physically possible for the show to be decided on one match.
Usually, WWE ensures that there is an odd number of matches and the result comes down to the final encounter, but this wasn't the case this year since Raw won by a landslide since SmackDown's only win didn't actually count towards the end tally.
