Ali, previously known as Mustafa Ali, is one for the future as WWE seem to have high hopes for him, so much so that they are allowing him to cut unscripted vignettes.

In an interview with Fightful, the former 205 Live star revealed that the WWE Chairman has allowed him to cut unscripted vignettes, with him producing, writing and directing them.

They’re mine. A hundred percent mine. They’re not written. They’re not produced. They’re not directed by anything WWE. I showed a few samples to Vince McMahon himself, some of the producers, and Vince’s direction was, 'If we get involved with it, it’s going to become its own thing. I like what I see, go out and make it your own.' So he literally tells me when he needs them and I make them. It’s very, very cool that someone’s self-producing, self-writing, self-directing and making their own vignettes.

Ali has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year, after getting a surprise call-up to the main roster, and then feuding with Daniel Bryan, that fans loved! If things had gone his way, he could very well have been WWE Champion, or at least have had a shot at the WWE title at WrestleMania 35 - a spot which went to Kofi Kingston after Ali's unfortunate injury.
