Major news broke that could have an effect on both WWE and All Elite Wrestling. An AEW star may soon be leaving the Jacksonville-based company. This could mean they're heading to World Wrestling Entertainment.

The talent in question is Malakai Black, best known to fans of RAW, SmackDown, and NXT as Aleister Black for his time in the Stamford-based promotion between 2016 and 2021. He was seemingly written off of television during Dynamite when Will Ospreay told Buddy Matthews that the House of Black didn't need a leader and they could depend on him instead.

While his exit from the company isn't yet confirmed, it seems all but guaranteed. Not only that but if he does indeed leave, it seems like a return to working under Triple H could be on the cards. Black received his best push in wrestling working under The Game's leadership.

If Black does return to the global juggernaut, there are numerous dream matches waiting for him. In this article, we will take a look at a few must-see bouts that could happen if he does return to the Stamford-based promotion.

Below are four dream matches for Malakai Black if he returns to WWE this year:

#4. A feud with Uncle Howdy would be fascinating to watch

Uncle Howdy is a WWE Superstar on the RAW brand who was previously known to fans as Bo Dallas. As Dallas, he held the NXT Championship and the RAW Tag Team Title alongside Curtis Axel.

However, now things are very different. As Uncle Howdy, he is the leader of The Wyatt Sicks, a WWE faction featuring some of the most bizarre performers in the company. Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross make up the rest of the stable.

If Malakai Black does return to World Wrestling Entertainment, a feud with another dark character would be fascinating. Howdy and Black are very different, but both are former NXT Champions and could put on something extremely intriguing together if they were to feud.

#3. Malakai Black could take on Bron Breakker for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Bron Breakker is one of the most dominant young superstars in WWE. Since joining the global juggernaut, the second-generation star has already managed to win the NXT, the Intercontinental, and the NXT Tag Team Championships alongside Baron Corbin.

The Big Bad Booty Nephew is in his second reign as Intercontinental Champion currently. He defeated Main Event Jey Uso to win back the title and now he's looking to destroy all competition.

Malakai Black would make for the perfect challenger for Bron. He is a veteran who can help the 27-year-old get even better, but he is also both big and intense enough to pose a serious risk to Breakker's reign as champion. Could Black return and win a belt he is yet to hold in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut?

#2. Roman Reigns vs. Malakai Black could be fascinating

Roman Reigns has been the top draw in WWE for many years now. In fact, it wasn't long before Black left the company that Reigns truly found his role as the face of the company thanks to becoming The Tribal Chief.

In the time since Black left, Roman became one of the longest-reigning World Champions in WWE history and headlined WrestleMania multiple times. He has also since turned babyface and the fans absolutely adore the OTC.

If Black were to return as a heel, he and Roman Reigns feuding would be fascinating to watch. Black would provide a different kind of threat to Reigns, one that Roman isn't used to. A more cerebral opponent could make for a completely different rivalry than what the OTC is used to these days.

#1. Gunther vs. Malakai Black could be a show stealer

The last dream match on this list would see Malakai Black go one-on-one with Gunther. The Ring General is currently on Monday Night RAW and is arguably the most talented performer in the entire company.

Gunther holds the World Heavyweight Championship and has done so since WWE SummerSlam. His two other title reigns in the company saw the Austrian break records with both the NXT United Kingdom and the Intercontinental Championships.

The Ring General vs. Malakai Black would be great, as it would have two talented Europeans go at it when the company is focused on growing internationally. Beyond that, Black challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship just makes sense given how talented he is.
