Believe it or not, one of the biggest problems with the storyline between Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair was that WWE usually had their segments result in a brawl. Not only was that an extremely predictable way for the company to take things, but it also hurt the momentum that the feud was building.

Worse than that, however, is the fact that WWE continuously chooses to make Lynch the underdog during the beat down's which made her look like she was out of her league many times. Sure, the crowd got into the brawls the first few times that it happened, but it gave diminishing returns as time went on and Lynch looked like a chump through most of it.

In the end, Becky Lynch needed to beat Rousey here in order to keep her momentum going into WrestleMania 35. She also took a sizable beat down from Charlotte Flair before doing it, which only made Lynch look like even more dominant than before.
