4 Feuds WWE Should Consider for Jeff Hardy while he's United States Champion

<p>
Jeff Hardy successfully defended his US title at Backlash

At WrestleMania, Jinder Mahal won a fatal four-way match to become the U.S Champion. A week later on RAW, he lost it to Jeff Hardy who's had it ever since.

Hardy has faced the likes of Shelton Benjamin and Randy Orton during his time as champion. His title run hasn't been anything special so far which is sad considering how good the Charismatic Enigma is as a performer.

Let's take a look down the road for the next few weeks or months and see what feuds WWE should put in place for Hardy while he's United States Champion.

#1 The Miz

The Miz is on the best run of his career

On the recent episode of SmackDown, the Miz faced off against Hardy in a Money In The Bank qualifier and won the match. Now, that match was for a spot in the men's Money in the Bank match, but he still technically beat the current champ.

The Miz is on the best run of his career as he made the Intercontinental championship feel more important than it has over the last few years.

His match with Seth Rollins recently at Backlash was a match of the year worthy contest. I'm sure the Miz can recreate that with Hardy.

Now, Hardy is older and has done a lot more to his body over the years, but he can still go. These two can deliver if put in the right situation.

#2 Rusev

Rusev is very much over with the WWE Universe at the moment

Currently, Rusev is set to take apart of the men's Money in the Bank ladder match, but this feud could happen afterward.

Rumors have been flying around saying that WWE is planning on splitting up Rusev and Aiden English.

Having the team break up is a bad move as both men work so well together. Rusev could start feuding with Hardy and English could help Rusev win.

Every time Rusev comes to the ring, English always hypes him up, add the fact that he may be the United States Champion will make it even better. That's assuming WWE pushes him in the first place.

If Rusev were to go on his own, this feud could possibly boost Rusev in the right direction. Hardy can make anyone look good in his matches and we are sure Rusev can adapt to his style to have a great match together.

A gimmick Rusev could use during the matches would be to keep Hardy grounded instead of letting him fly around.

Everyone tries and never really succeeds, maybe it could work for Rusev.

#3 Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe has been sensational since his return

Let's all be honest, Samoa Joe would do better if he were feuding for the WWE Championship instead.

Joe has been amazing since his return. He looks, acts and talks like he should be in the main event.

His hunt for the WWE Champion, if and when it does, could be a while. So having him go after the United States championship in the meantime would do good for him.

Hardy and Joe are no strangers to each other as they have faced in the past while in TNA. So, both can put on a good match to the best of their abilities.

If it's the WWE Championship or the United States Championship, Joe deserves to champion one way or another.

#4 Andrade 'Cien' Almas

Andrade 'Cien' Almas was one of the best performers in NXT last year

He started his NXT run in a nonmemorable way. By the end of it, he was one of the best and his matches proved it. Now he's finally getting the call-up to the main roster and it will be on SmackDown.

Having him put into a feud right away will be great and facing a veteran like Hardy will be a great contest to see.

WWE probably will book him in the mid-card right away and possibly move him to the main event. We will have to wait and see.

If this feud were to happen and Almas were to win the title, WWE better not book it in a ''I hate America'' gimmick just like they've done plenty of times in the past.

Book him as a strong heel and the rest will follow.
