Dolph Ziggler has been a workhorse his entire career. His work ethics and consistent performance in the ring have often compelled people to compare him the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels. However, unlike Michaels, Dolph Ziggler hasn't seen himself as the face of the company.

Despite his impressing in ring-abilities, The ShowOff has struggled with other aspects of professional wrestling. His mic skills leave a lot to be desired and his outspoken nature on social media hasn't helped him much. Clearly, at this point, Dolph Ziggler probably won't be winning the World Championship again in his career. There was a time when Ziggler was over with the fans, but it seems like eternity since we have seen fans being red hot for him.

Thus, considering how there isn't much WWE could do with the veteran, giving him the opportunity to join other promotions won't be very harmful.
