WWE Money in the Bank has featured several historic moments over the years. The coveted contract has helped many stars become world champions. However, some have also failed to capitalize on their wins.

The first-ever WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match took place in 2005 at WrestleMania 21, and the women's division got theirs in 2017. The men's division has already had 24 MITB bouts, while the women's roster has had six. Out of the 30 winners, five had failed to successfully cash in their contracts.

In this list, we will look at four historic moments that could happen at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event on Saturday in Canada.

#4 WWE Money in the Bank 2024 could have a new cash-in record

Kane has a unique record to his name. The WWE Hall of Famer held the MITB contract for the shortest period of time. 49 minutes after winning the Ladder Match in 2010, The Big Red Machine cashed in his contract on Rey Mysterio to become the World Heavyweight Champion.

At the upcoming Premium Live Event, a male or female superstar could break Kane's record. Interestingly, one star who could make this possible is Drew McIntyre. He seemingly aims to walk out of the event as the World Heavyweight Champion and could realistically do so if the men's bout opens the show.

#3 Carmelo Hayes could finally have his big break on the main roster

Carmelo Hayes was nothing but impressive in NXT, but he still needs to prove his mettle on the main roster. From the looks of it, the 29-year-old could finally attain a major accomplishment on Saturday's show.

Hayes' journey to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match wasn't easy. He defeated Tama Tonga and Randy Orton to secure a spot in the bout. Melo could shock the world by winning the contract in Canada within months of his main roster debut.

#2 WWE could have another highlight reel-worthy moment during one of the ladder matches

One of the many things fans look out for during the MITB Ladder bouts is the chaotic spots. Some of the most memorable moments include John Morrison delivering a moonsault from the top rope while holding a ladder at WrestleMania 24, Kofi Kingston using a broken ladder as stilts at WrestleMania 26, and Rey Mysterio being thrown from the top of a building in 2020.

This year, more exhilarating moments could transpire during the high-stakes matches. During the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match last year, Iyo Sky handcuffed Becky Lynch and Bayley's wrists together and ultimately claimed the contract. SKY will also participate in this year's contest, and she could create another unforgettable memory alongside her fellow competitors.

#1 Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match could crown its first consecutive winner

As mentioned above, the women's edition of the WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match was introduced in 2017 and has since showcased many history-making and record-breaking moments. However, there is still room for more.

Last year's winner, IYO SKY, cashed in her contract at SummerSlam to become the Women's Champion. The Japanese star will also compete in this year's WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which can give her a chance to be the first consecutive female winner.
