4 huge predictions for WWE in July 2019

With Heyman being the new executive director of Raw, expect things to change for the better
With Heyman being the new executive director of Raw, expect things to change for the better

While the month of June had its fair share of highs and lows, it was a month WWE would like to forget quickly. With degrading viewership and ratings, June was not an ideal month for WWE.

WWE hosted two pay-per-views this month - Super ShowDown (its third show in the Middle East) and Stomping Grounds. While Super ShowDown proved to be a huge success commercially, several botched matches and average performances made it a damp squib.

On the other side, WWE faced huge criticism for the recycled bookings for Stomping Grounds, and while it was not much of success from a commercial point of view, it received positive reviews from both fans as well as critics alike.

Given the recent state of things, WWE has named Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as the new Executive Directors of Raw and SmackDown respectively. Thus, one could see a few major changes in WWE in the upcoming weeks.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Also, with a few superstars rumoured to return sooner than later, plus one of the highly anticipated pay-per-views of the year - Extreme Rules - scheduled for 14 July, this month of July promises to be an interesting affair.

So, without further ado, let's take a look at 4 huge predictions for WWE in July 2019.

#4 Rise in viewership

Expect Paul Heyman to ring in some major changes on the red brand
Expect Paul Heyman to ring in some major changes on the red brand

Given the recent state of things, WWE named Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as the new Executive Director of Raw and SmackDown respectively. Thus, one could expect these two gentlemen to ring in some major changes on both the brands which could result in a rise of viewership, though a minimal one.

As a matter of fact, Heyman did stir up a few things this week on Raw. It is speculated that it was Heyman's idea to bring the NXT Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits, to Raw this week and a major push for the duo could be on the cards sooner than later.

Also, with Summerslam (one of WWE's big four pay-per-views) not too far away, expect a rise in the viewership in the upcoming weeks.

#3 Bray Wyatt returns to feud with The Miz

The Miz has been stalked by Wyatt's puppets

Bray Wyatt's Firefly Fun House has been a total hit on the red brand. It has received positive reviews from both fans as well as critics alike. However, it might not take long before Bray Wyatt finally returns to the WWE ring.

Yes, Wyatt has been out of action ever since he received minor injuries in a car crash last year. However, after returning with his amusing Firefly Fun House, he might be ready to return to action.

As a matter of fact, it seems WWE might have already planned a blockbuster feud for the Eater of Worlds. Yes, The Miz has been stalked by Bray Wyatt's puppets for the last couple of weeks. Thus, a potential feud between the duo could be on the cards sooner than later.

A mouthwatering feud between two stalwarts of WWE in the likes of The Miz and Wyatt could blow up. It would not only be a treat to the eyes but would also grab a lot of eyeballs.

#2 Sasha Banks returns to turn on Bayley

It looks totally on the cards
It looks totally on the cards

Sasha Banks has been missing from WWE TV ever since her reported backstage meltdown after The Boss and Bayley lost the Women's tag team gold at the hands of the IIconics at WrestleMania 35. However, speculations of a potential return for Banks leading to a blockbuster match against Bayley for the SamckDown's Women Championship at Summerslam have been making rounds all over the Internet for the past few weeks.

As a matter of fact, Banks teased a potential return to WWE in a recent exchange with Bayley on social media. Thus, WWE could have her pay a surprise visit at Extreme Rules to help Bayley even the odds against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. She could then turn on her to lay down the breadcrumbs for a potential match at Summerslam 2019.

A potential feud between these two former tag team members could be an intense and fierce battle. Dare I say, it could prove to be the feud of the year, if WWE decides to book it properly.

#1 WWE books The Undertaker's retirement match for Summerslam

The end could be near for The Phenom
The end could be near for The Phenom

The Undertaker will team up with Roman Reigns to take on the duo of Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre in a tag team match at Extreme Rules. However, WWE could lay down the breadcrumbs for Taker's retirement match at Summerslam on July 14.

Well, Taker is currently on the wrong side of 50 and has not got much left in him. As a matter of fact, his recent appearances have been underwhelming, to say the least. Thus, it's high time that The Deadman hang up his boots for good.

WWE could have The Undertaker secure a pin on Shane McMahon only to be attacked by Drew McIntyre. This could then lead to a huge one-on-one matchup between the duo for Summerslam which could be and should be Taker's retirement match.

Furthermore, retiring The Undertaker could do wonders to McIntyre's career. WWE could use that momentum to launch The Scottish Psychopath in the main event scene.
