One main reason fans look forward to a match is the drama that builds up en route to it, and WWE has surely featured some of the most intriguing feuds throughout the years. Aside from personal feuds and those that stem from dislike, there are also ones that result from romance.

WWE has featured several romantic storylines like Eddie Guerrero and Chyna, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, and more. On the other hand, some turned into a love triangle, making the storylines much more complicated and personal, like the recent storyline of Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan. However, this has made Rhea and Liv's feud much more exciting to watch.

#4. Liv Morgan was involved in another WWE love triangle

Liv Morgan's current feud with Rhea and Dominik is not the first time she has been involved in a romantic storyline, let alone in a love triangle. In 2019, she entered one between Lana and Bobby Lashley.

In September 2019, Lana revealed she had been cheating on Rusev with Bobby Lashley on RAW. The new couple would engage in PDA on the Monday show and eventually had their on-screen wedding.

Before the ceremony ended, Liv Morgan objected by stating that she couldn't watch the love of her life get married to somebody else. Lashley said he never touched her, but the Women's World Champion revealed that she was talking about Lana. However, Perry chose Lashley by attacking Morgan.

#3. CM Punk and AJ Lee's real-life relationship started during a love triangle in WWE

In 2011, AJ Lee began an on-screen romance with Daniel Bryan which ended the following year at WrestleMania XXVIII after Bryan lost the World Heavyweight title to Sheamus in 18 seconds, blaming Lee for being distracted. This began the love triangle with CM Punk, who became Daniel's main rival in 2012 for the WWE Championship.

On that year's Money in the Bank, it was revealed that Lee would be the guest referee between Bryan and Punk. While Daniel tried to win over Lee before the event, Punk stated that while she was a sweet girl he wasn't a good fit for her. During the event, Punk managed to retain the title against Bryan.

After the 2012 MITB, Bryan and Lee continued their relationship which ended after the latter was offered the spot as RAW's General Manager. She later got involved with John Cena and Dolph Ziggler on-screen. However, it was later revealed that she was dating Punk off-screen, and the two later got married in real life.

#2. WWE turned a real-life love triangle into a storyline

One of the most infamous love triangles in WWE history is arguably between Edge, Lita, and Matt Hardy in 2005. The main reason for this is because real-life cheating was involved between Lita and Matt.

In 1999, Matt Hardy and Lita began dating in real life, which was on display as the couple was part of Team Xtreme with Jeff Hardy. The team's main rivals at the time were Edge and Christian, but all of them were quite close in real life.

In 2004, Matt suffered a knee injury and had to be away from television for a year. During this time, Lita began an affair with Edge, who was also married to another person at the time.

After Matt found out about this, he shared it on the internet and was fired by WWE due to his unprofessional conduct. Eventually, the company turned Edge and Lita into a real-life top couple. Months later, Matt returned to the company and began his feud with The Rated R Superstar.

Vince McMahon got involved in several controversial storylines with female superstars in the past, the most infamous one possibly involving Trish Stratus and his ex-wife Linda McMahon.

In 2001, Linda made a rare appearance on WWE television and was revealed that she had a "stroke" causing her to be in a wheelchair. During this, Trish and Vince began an affair in front of a "paralyzed" Linda.

During this affair, Stratus got into a feud with Stephanie McMahon and was ordered by Vince to bark like a dog on RAW. The storyline ended at WrestleMania X-Seven with Trish slapping Vince during his match with Shane McMahon and Linda revealing she could move by low-blowing her then-husband.
