With the WrestleMania season in full force and the Show of Show taking place on April 8th, speculation is all abound regarding who will be on the card and who will be left of it.
With all the injuries plaguing WWE, some of the top superstars have been out of commision for a while. Let us see if these Superstars will be able to recover in time to make it to the Grandest Stage of Them All:
#4 Dean Ambrose
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Dean Ambrose has been out of action since late December owing to a tricep injury. However, Ambrose was written off television after he was viciously attacked by Samoa Joe backstage.
Ambrose was in the middle of a second run as a part of the faction "The Shield" and was in contention for the RAW Tag team titles before he got taken out.
Jason Jordan replaced him and won the Tag Team Championships along with Seth Rollins.
It is speculated that Ambrose could be out for 2-3 months and if that is the case, we will be able to see the lunatic fringe return before Wrestlemania. He could go on to feud with either Jason Jordan or even Seth Rollins which could culminate with a match at Wrestlemania.
#3 Drew McIntyre
Drew suffered a bicep injury during his match with Andrade Almas at NXT Takeover: WarGames. He has been out of action ever since and is expected to be out for a couple months before he makes a comeback.
The exact date of his return is not clear but is being hoped that Drew will be able to perform before WrestleMania and might actually make his return on the Wrestlemania weekend.
It is possible that Drew returns for his rematch for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover: New Orleans or he may actually make his return on Wrestlemania as a part of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
#2 Big Cass
Big Cass suffered a severe ACL tear during a street fight match with former tag team partner Enzo Amore during an episode of RAW in August. Cass has been out of action since then and is rumoured to return around May.
If that is indeed the case, then he will have to miss this years Wrestlemania but there is also a chance that a quicker recovery will allow him to be in a condition to Wrestle by Wrestlemania.
Big Cass could enter the Andre the giant battle royale as a surprise entrant and win it since a program with Enzo would have made sense if Amore was still employed by WWE.
Another angle that Big Cass could be put in is a match against the Monster Among Men, Braun Strauman and we could get to see a battle of giants to see who reigns supreme. A win against Braun at the Grand Stage would definitely put Cass's career back on track.
#1 Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe suffered a foot injury on an edition of RAW facing off against Rhyno which resulted in him being out of action. Joe, who was supposed to be part of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge could not partake in the event due to this injury and has been sidelined since.
As per Dave Meltzer of WON, it is speculated that Joe will be making his return mid-march. WWE have started advertising Joe for house shows during that period of time. However, last year Finn had started working house shows after his injury before Wrestlemania but was still left out of the Wrestlemania card; so it will be interesting to see if Joe will face the same fate.
If not, Samoa Joe can return and be inserted into the IC Championship picture as Joe is yet to win a major Championship ever since appearing on the main roster.
