The build-up to WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 is entering its endgame. The respective men's and women's teams for the event's WarGames match format are almost set, and the rest of the card is taking shape. With every passing moment, the audience is getting a clearer picture of who will and won't be on the card at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
However, once the card is finalized, Triple H might have some surprises up his sleeve for the upcoming premium live event. Some blockbuster names who are not advertised could surprise the world and show up to influence proceedings. Which big names could make their presence felt despite not currently being promoted for the PLE?
Below are four legends who could make a surprise appearance at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.

#4. Goldberg could return to set up his retirement match in WWE
Goldberg recently announced his upcoming WWE retirement match for 2025. Da Man will bring down the curtain on an illustrious career spanning almost three decades, with his final opponent yet to be declared. However, his intense confrontation with reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Bad Blood 2024 gave a big indication that The Ring General could be that man.
The Imperium leader will be in action at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, where he will defend his title against Damian Priest. This could be a prime opportunity for Goldberg to make a shocking return and set up his retirement match with the Austrian star. Whether Da Man returns during or after the match, it would be great to see him at the upcoming PLE one last time.
#3. & #2. The Rock could return at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames...with Paul Heyman
The Bloodline Civil War is in full effect heading into WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024. Solo Sikoa's Bloodline has had the upper hand for most of the build-up, and they look especially dangerous with Bronson Reed now revealed as their fifth member. The OG Bloodline, on the other hand, is having a hard time not just getting on the same page, but also finding a fifth man.
The latest episode of SmackDown added a new wrinkle to Roman Reigns' problems, as The Original Tribal Chief failed to contact Paul Heyman. The show's cliffhanger left Roman visibly shaken, teasing that The Wiseman may have aligned his interests elsewhere. Fans could not help but notice that Heyman used to have two phones: one for Reigns and one for The Rock.
Could the WWE Hall of Famer return with The Great One, revealing himself to have switched sides? The 59-year-old has, after all, always been at his best while aligned with heels.
#1. CM Punk needs to make an appearance at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024
CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 with a massive pop from fans in his hometown of Chicago. This was the beginning of the Best in the World's second spell with the company, which has so far yielded a number of acclaimed segments and an instant classic rivalry with Drew McIntyre. Punk last competed at Bad Blood 2024, where he decisively defeated The Scottish Warrior.
Fans had hoped that the Second City Saint would compete at the upcoming PLE, preferably challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, that did not happen, as Damian Priest instead challenged The Ring General. Punk could still make an appearance in Vancouver, Canada, possibly confronting the winner post-match.
Alternatively, if the OG Bloodline cannot find a fifth member, Punk could come to their aid at the behest of his former manager Paul Heyman, which, in turn, would receive a thunderous reaction from fans.
