WWE tag teams reuniting always excites fans, especially if these groups have disbanded for a long time and made a notable mark in the wrestling industry. However, some reunions weren't met positively.
The OG Bloodline is one of the most recent groups to reunite in WWE, and they are gearing up for a major match at Survivor Series: WarGames. In NXT, there was even a brief reunion with The Dudley Boyz during the brand's special edition at the former ECW arena. While these reconciliations worked, some groups unfortunately missed the mark.
For this list, we will look at four major WWE reunions that flopped.

#4. D-Generation X had several reunions in the past
D-Generation X underwent several reformations throughout the years. Initial members included Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, and Rick Rude in 1997. A year later, X-Pac, Road Dogg, and Billy Gunn were added. The group reunited several times, most notably The Game and HBK in 2006, but their reunion in 2018 is remembered for the wrong reasons.
In 2018, Triple H and The Undertaker were set to have a match at Super Show-Down, but it later turned into a tag team bout with DX taking on the Brothers of Destruction.
Although it included four of the biggest names in the industry, the dream match happened way past their prime, and their age truly showed during the bout. Unsurprisingly, Mr. WrestleMania himself regrets participating in it.
#3. The Shield's second break-up was ill-timed
The Shield is considered one of the greatest wrestling stables in WWE history. The group consisted of rising stars Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and former superstar Jon Moxley (FKA Dean Ambrose). They dominated the roster, held championship after championship, and had a unique aura that fans enjoyed watching. However, that all crashed in 2014 when The Visionary betrayed the group to join Triple H with The Authority.
Despite the group's tragic end, fans wanted to see them reunite even for one final run, which finally happened in 2017. However, this time, all three men are no longer underdogs and operate as a faction less, still focusing on their individual runs.
The following year, Roman announced on RAW that he had leukemia, and Moxley betrayed Rollins later that night. In 2019, the group reunited one last time before Jon left WWE.
#2. Evolution was more about Triple H vs. Batista
Evolution was one of the most accomplished wrestling stables in history. It contains current Hall of Famers Triple H and Ric Flair and future Hall of Famers Randy Orton and Batista. In 2004, The Viper was kicked out of the group, while The Animal followed suit the following year.
In 2018, the group reunited for SmackDown's 1000th episode. However, instead of reliving the moment or even for one last match as a team, possibly with Ric supporting the group at ringside, their appearance only occurred to build Triple H vs. Batista at WrestleMania 35. In a way, their comeback was simply a stepping stone for the aforementioned match.
#1. Legion of Doom didn't find much success in WWE
The Road Warriors was arguably one of the most well-known tag teams in wrestling, and their name was familiar to fans even before joining WWE. They signed with the company in 1990, and their tag team name was changed to Legion of Doom, though still individually referred to as Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal. While they found success outside the Titanland, that wasn't the case in the Stamford-based promotion.
Their initial run in the company only lasted two years, then returned in 1997 until 1999. In their second run, the company decided to incorporate Hawk's alcohol and drug issues, something that the duo objected to. In 2003, they made a surprise return for one last match against RVD and Kane, which was also not remembered well due to Hawk's underselling of his opponent's moves.
