4 Matches that could main event WrestleMania 41 instead of The Rock vs. Roman Reigns

WrestleMania 41 could see a dream match between two of WWE's greatest wrestlers. Roman Reigns vs. The Rock could main event the show. This blockbuster match was originally scheduled to happen at Mania 40, but it is expected to happen next year.

As The Rock has yet to return after a long hiatus, there is no confirmation on whether WWE will proceed with a Roman Reigns vs. The Rock match for the main event of WrestleMania 41.

With that in mind, we take a look at four other matches that could main event The Grandest Stage of Them All in April 2025:

#4. Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa

This could be deja vu for Solo Sikoa. As he turned on Roman Reigns and replaced him as the Tribal Chief of The Bloodline, Solo could see Jacob Fatu turn on him and confront him.

Fatu has been impressive since his debut in the summer, and the creative team is more than willing to push him forward. This means emerging as a big-time player and main eventing premium live events.

On the other hand, Solo Sikoa has already emerged as a star on SmackDown, but he will need a new direction if he is to continue The Bloodline storyline. And a feud with Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 41 could be the best option for him.

#3. Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock

Cody Rhodes' victory at the 2024 Royal Rumble changed WWE's plans and led to a Rhodes vs. Reigns title match at WrestleMania XL, where The American Nightmare eventually defeated Reigns and finished his story.

Still, in the build-up to the match, Cody started a brutal rivalry with The Final Boss, which is far from over. The Rock showed up on the RAW after 'Mania and told the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion that he would come after him and his title once he was back.

Thus, a title match between the two at WrestleMania 41 could main event the show, but it is unknown when WWE will start building this match amid plans for Reigns vs. Rock and Rhodes vs. Reigns matches.

#2. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk

It is a no-brainer that Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk will happen at WrestleMania 41, provided that both are healthy and ready to go. Their feud has been going on for years and intensified upon Punk's return last year.

WWE has postponed their match, as both had to recover from injuries while getting involved in other storylines. Still, they re-ignited their feud recently, and they will start building the match once The Visionary is back from his hiatus.

If the two megastars are to main event the show, then the World Heavyweight Championship should be on the line.

#1. John Cena vs. The Rock could main event WrestleMania 41

It could be the best option to main event WrestleMania 41, as this will be the last time fans will see John Cena compete at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

The Cenation Leader has announced his retirement at the end of 2025, and 'Mania 41 will be his final WrestleMania.

The 16-time World Champion will be among the top stars participating in the show, so a match with The Rock would be the best way for him to close the WrestleMania chapter.

Given how great both are, such a match would main event the show and would force WWE to a Part 3 between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
