After a six-month hiatus, The Rock showed up at Bad Blood in early October to stare down Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. He then disappeared again, but he is expected to return again as early as the RAW premiere on Netflix this Monday, January 6.

The Final Boss will likely stay around until at least WrestleMania 41, but it is unclear what plans WWE Creative has for him and who he will face. However, there are a few names that we should consider as candidates to face the WWE legend. In this article, we look at four matches The Rock could have in 2025.

#4. The Rock & Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns & Jey Uso

Drew McIntyre has started a feud with The OG Bloodline and has targeted Sami Zayn and The Usos. His major target is Roman Reigns, but Jey Uso is out for revenge on The Scottish Warrior, and their feud is far from over.

As Drew McIntyre has his sights set on The OTC, The Yeet Master could align with the former Universal Champion to take on The Scottish Warrior. On that occasion, the former World Heavyweight Champion could seek help from The Final Boss, setting the stage for a tag team match. This bout could take place before WrestleMania 41, with the Elimination Chamber as an ideal place for the match.

#3. The Rock vs Roman Reigns

The Rock and Roman Reigns worked together in early 2024 and had a successful run that ended at WrestleMania 40.

The OTC returned as a face, and a feud with The Final Boss is a likely scenario. The two megastars could collide at WrestleMania 41, even though WWE Creative hasn't revealed any plans for Rock's comeback.

Still, the WWE legend could show up this Monday on the RAW premiere on Netflix and interfere in the Tribal Combat between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, setting the stage for a match at 'Mania.

#2. The Rock vs Cody Rhodes

After Cody Rhodes finished his story and became the Undisputed WWE Champion, The Rock showed up to congratulate the American Nightmare and told him that he would go after him for the title.

Thus, The Final Boss could target Cody Rhodes upon his return and get a title shot in one of the major Premium Live Events of 2025. This will not be the Royal Rumble, as Cody will put his title on the line against Kevin Owens in a Ladder Match.

#1. The Rock vs Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns

Based on what we saw in the final moments of Bad Blood, it is the most likely scenario, as The Final Boss stared down both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. At the same time, Reigns has made it clear that he wants his title back, so Cody could put his title on the line against both stars in a Triple Threat Match.

On this occasion, it is a no-brainer that this match will happen at WrestleMania 41 and will be the main event of the show. With that in mind, maybe the RAW premiere on Netflix this Monday will shed more light on WWE Creative's plans for The Final Boss.
