WWE has had a tremendous week this time. RAW and SmackDown both delivered and brought us some great action.
As the road to Wrestlemania gets heated up, all Superstars are ready to bring their A-game before the Show of Shows takes place.
In this list, I will be ranking the MVP of WWE for the week based on the overall performance and impact of the Superstar's performance of the week:
#4 The Miz
The Miz has undoubtedly been one of the most consistent performers in the WWE. Although hailed as one of the best mic workers in the company, Miz has never gotten his due for being a great in-ring athlete as well. And this past week on RAW, Miz showed why does indeed deserve respect.
Even though the Miz lost both of his consecutive matches on RAW against two of the very best in Seth Rollins and Finn Balor; Miz showed that not only can he go the extra mile by working two matches but maintain the quality of the matches as well. That is something very few people can boast about.
#3 AJ Styles
AJ Styles in one of the best athletes in WWE today, if not the best. It is difficult to name a match where The Phenomenal One did not deliver; be it a house show, PPV or Smackdown.
This past week on Smackdown, Styles put on another wrestling clinic with his old foe: John Cena, and both men impressed yet again.
In an otherwise lackluster Smackdown, the match between these two icons made it a must watch edition of the blue brand.
#2 Roman Reigns
Love him or hate him, anybody who watched RAW the past week has to admit that Reigns delivered the best promo of his career.
What was originally planned as a segment between Roman and Brock Lesnar, turned out to be a solid "shoot" style promo by The Big Dog due to the Brock Lesnar not showing up on RAW this week. While I'm sure the segment between the two men would have been good, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we all got to see a new side to Roman Reigns.
A crowd which booed Roman as he made his way to the ring, ended up cheering The Guy by the time the promo was over; which goes to show how much Reigns has improved on the mic.
#1 John Cena
Who other than the Franchise could top the list this week. As he made an appearance not just on RAW, but also on Smackdown.
As a "free agent", Cena has the freedom to appear on any brand at any time as per his convenience. And this was a rare occurrence where The Champ appeared on both.
He cut an excellent promo on RAW about having failed himself and not being able to find his road to Wrestlemania. He managed to get the crowd excited for a possible match with the Undertaker only to tell them that it will not happen.
He then went on to Smackdown and had a stellar match with the current WWE Champion: AJ Styles. John Cena is now part of the WWE Championship match at Fastlane thanks to his victory over AJ Styles this past week on Smackdown.
