WWE is loaded with major stars. The likes of Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Gunther, Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax, Bianca Belair, and Damian Priest dominate World Wrestling Entertainment right now.

Currently, some of these big stars are facing retirement. John Cena has already announced that he plans to hang up his boots, as has former NXT UK Champion Meiko Satomura. Others, such as AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio, have teased wrapping up their careers soon.

One legend who likely only has a handful of matches left in him is The Rock. The Final Boss returned to television at the start of the year and made several major appearances and even competed at WrestleMania XL. Despite that, there are many more dream matches left for him.

This article will look at four opponents for The Rock before he retires from in-ring competition. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have been left out of this list as they might be facing The Rock in the near future. Naturally, those matches should and almost certainly will take place. Who else should get a shot at The People's Champion?

Below are four opponents The Rock must face before retiring from WWE.

#4. LA Knight vs. The Rock would be an Attitude Era throwback

LA Knight is one of the biggest success stories of the Triple H era. Prior to The Game taking over creative for WWE's main roster, he was known as Max Dupri and served as a manager. Now, Knight is incredibly popular and a former United States Champion.

In the eyes of many fans, LA Knight is a throwback. He channels greats from The Attitude Era and many within the WWE Universe compare him to both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

This means a throwback feud would be perfect between The Megastar and The Final Boss. What will happen when this era's version of an Attitude Era star clashes with a top name from that exact time period? It would be fascinating to witness.

#3. CM Punk and The Rock could run it back

CM Punk is one of the most controversial superstars in WWE history. Always outspoken, The Second City Saint returned to the company over a year ago, and beyond an injury, has been on fire since making his comeback.

The Rock and CM Punk are not strangers. Prior to The Rock stepping away from the ring for a second time and CM Punk leaving WWE, the two had a pair of major matches. Unfortunately for Punk, he lost both of them.

Things could change now, however. The Voice Of The Voiceless is at the top of his game and while both are older, Punk is certainly wiser. Whether The Rock is too or not remains to be seen, as he's been less active. Can CM Punk finally get a win over The Final Boss?

#2. John Cena and The Rock could have a rubber match

John Cena is arguably the greatest WWE Superstar of all time. He's a multi-time world champion who has main-evented WrestleMania and numerous other premium live events. An entire generation grew up watching his work.

Unfortunately, The Face That Runs The Place is soon ending his WWE career. He has revealed that 2025 will be his final year as an active wrestler. Once 2025 comes to an end, so will Cena's in-ring career. The jorts will be hung up once and for all.

Before Cena hangs it up, however, he needs one last match with The Rock. The two share a win each at WrestleMania, so a rubber match is a necessity. Not only that, but the two had a masterful staredown at WrestleMania 40, which could have been building towards one last encounter.

#1. Logan Paul and The Rock would be huge for WWE

Logan Paul is one of the most infamous entertainers in the world, both in WWE and away from it. Despite his controversies, Logan is an extremely talented pro wrestler and a former United States Champion.

The Maverick recently broke some big some big news. During WWE's Kickoff event for RAW's move to Netflix, it was revealed that Paul will be moving to Monday Night RAW.

While The Rock isn't on any particular brand, it is expected that whatever feud he has could be on Netflix to get the most eyeballs possible. This means a Logan Paul vs. The Rock feud is possible.

Beyond that, both men have huge followings away from wrestling, so the two feuding would be massive for the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. The publicity would be game-changing.
