#3 Dean Ambrose (Intercontinental Championship)
In the 1990s Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were positioned to surpass Hulk Hogan. Their job was tough and progressive. However, they managed alongside other talents to steer WWE and defeated their rival promotion WCW. This period was known as the Monday Night Wars. In present times, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are in similar positions, following the departure of Roman Reigns.
Both are former members of The Shield and have a storied history. Sometimes they are friends, other times they are enemies. However, recently, their relationship seems beyond repair. On Raw October 22nd Ambrose turned heel and attacked his tag team partner Rollins. Since then their story has escalated in dramatic fashion, (watch the video below).
As mentioned, Rollins and Ambrose have a storied past. However, their story has ended. What is the next chapter? At present no match has been set. However, it is highly possible that Rollins' Intercontinental Championship is in jeopardy. With Ambrose becoming champion, it builds the championships' prestige. Moreover, it maintains relevance to their existing story. Something WWE Raw desperately requires.
