#2 Triple H
Back in 2014, The Rock and Triple H did a backstage segment on SmackDown which led many to believe that a future one-on-one match at WrestleMania was in store for the two WWE legends. However, the match never ended up happening, and to this day, it still hasn't.

Originally, The Rock was going to be Ronda Rousey's partner against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, which was teased a few months after this segment aired, so there's a chance that this segment was meant to lead to the confrontation that took place at WrestleMania 31, which would then lead to a mixed tag match.
If there's someone in WWE who The Rock can completely trust in the ring, it's Triple H. On top of that, if he wants to work a safe, low-injury-risk match while still having a quality performance, then Triple H is the perfect opponent for him.
