WWE is set to lose one of its top stars soon. A recent report from Fightful Select has indicated that Bobby Lashley's current contract with the Stamford-based promotion will expire within the next month and he could possibly leave within the next few weeks.
According to the report, The All Mighty was removed from WWE's internal roster. However, he still remains featured on the company website. Lashley was last seen in action during a house show in May before being sidelined due to an injury he suffered during training.
Below are four possible reasons why Bobby Lashley could be reportedly leaving WWE.

#4. Bad booking
It was shocking for fans when Bobby Lashley returned to WWE in 2018. He immediately had title shots at the Universal Championship and even became the Intercontinental Champion. However, during the Pandemic Era, Lashley rose to the top of the company, becoming World Champion while being part of one of the top stables at that time, The Hurt Business.
It seemed that Lashley would continue to excel down the line, especially when Triple H took over creative direction. However, for some reason, that has not happened.
Instead, Lashley has been misused. He missed WrestleMania 39 and was later put in a stable with The Street Profits without any clear direction. There is a possibility that the 48-year-old star might have grown frustrated and decided not to renew his contract.
#3. Bobby Lashley won't ever win the world title again
It is pretty evident that WWE is currently undergoing a new direction in this Paul Levesque Era. The emphasis is clearly on creating new stars to ensure the future of the company.
Given the stacked roster and his current booking, it is safe to say that Bobby Lashley will not be a world champion anytime soon. He probably realized that he was no longer an integral part of the main event scene and might have decided not to sign a new deal.
#2. The Hurt Business reunion was canceled
The Hurt Business, consisting of Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander, was one of the top stables during the Thunderdome Era. The group tasted great success, with Cedric and Shelton winning the RAW Tag Team Championships. On the other hand, Lashley held the United States Championship and became the WWE Champion, with MVP as his manager.
The group had immense potential, and it was surprising to see the promotion not reunite them. MVP recently commented that Triple H had the option to reunite The Hurt Business but chose not to. There is a high possibility that this decision might have rubbed Bobby Lashley the wrong way, leading to his decision to possibly leave the company.
#1. New opportunities outside WWE
Bobby Lashley has done it all. He is a two-time WWE Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion, three-time United States Champion, former Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner, and undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer.
At 48, Lashley is in his final years in the wrestling business. He might be looking for new opportunities that interest him before he decides to hang up his boots. A run with All Elite Wrestling or a return to TNA could be on the cards for The All Mighty moving forward.
