Some big WWE changes will soon be taking place. As announced during the show, a trade window will soon be opening up, which will allow for changes to be made to the rosters of RAW, SmackDown, and NXT.
As a result, some RAW stars appeared on SmackDown, including Chad Gable, The Creed Brothers, Ivy Nile, Gunther, and Dominik Mysterio. The latter of which was particularly interesting, as fans could have blinked and missed it.
Instead of being right front and center on camera, Dominik was caught talking to Nick Aldis in the background of a Bianca Belair segment. It was clear that whatever conversation they were having, almost certainly about the transfer window, was meant to be private.
This article will take a look at four reasons why Dirty Dom was likely talking to Nick Aldis. This includes a few underhanded trades, a major change for The Judgment Day, and beyond.

Below are four reasons why Dominik Mysterio was secretly talking to Nick Aldis on WWE SmackDown.
#4. He might be getting The Judgment Day moved to WWE SmackDown
The most obvious reason why Dominik Mysterio was talking to Nick Aldis could have been to test the waters and see if The Judgment Day could move to WWE SmackDown. This means the entire stable.
Currently, The Judgment Day consists of six stars. This includes Dominik, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Carlito, JD McDonagh, and Finn Balor. Notably, the group holds three titles, but it hasn't been said that holding gold would prevent a trade.
The Judgment Day on SmackDown full-time would be a brand-new experience for the group. It could also get them away from certain rivals they couldn't seem to avoid, such as Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and Jey Uso, among others.
#3. Dirty Dom might try to get Nick Aldis to pluck Damian Priest
Speaking of Damian Priest, he could also be the topic of the conversation between Dominik Mysterio and Nick Aldis on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. More specifically, he could be pushing for Damian to be relocated.
Damian Priest has had quite the run in WWE. He is a former United States Champion, North American Champion, tag team champion, and World Heavyweight Champion. The New Yorker has been extremely successful throughout his tenure.
He is also a former Judgment Day member and someone who keeps fighting with Finn Balor. If Dom could get Aldis to bring Priest to SmackDown, it would save the stable from having to fight with their former partner moving forward, at least for many months.
#2. He could be trying to get Finn Balor removed from The Judgment Day
Finn Balor is a pro wrestling legend. He has been in the industry for 23 years now and has been part of the main roster, excluding a brief return to NXT, for almost eight and a half years. Balor has been quite successful in WWE in his own right.
Unfortunately, The Prince has a bad attitude. He has been trying to take over The Judgment Day. While the WWE stable members claimed to have no leaders, Finn has been regularly attempting to lead, and it has caused a lot of chaos and drama, especially between the Irishman and Dominik.
As a result of their ongoing tension and issues, Mysterio could attempt to get Finn moved away from RAW. This would alleviate any tension within The Judgment Day, and more specifically, it would stop Finn and Dominik from butting heads each and every week. Dominik could also plead ignorance, claiming he had nothing to do with the move, thus keeping things relatively harmonious.
#1. Mysterio might want to go off on his own
Fans have been seeing a new Dominik Mysterio lately. While he has been somewhat successful as a weasel, which even led to him winning the WWE NXT North American Title, Dirty Dom has been showing some guts lately.
For example, he has stood up to Finn Balor, which is something he might not have done before. More impressively, he has been standing his ground with Gunther, even if the WWE champion ultimately led waste to Mysterio.
This new side of Mysterio could mean that he wants to be his own man moving forward, perhaps even as a babyface wrestler. If that's the case, he could have been talking to Aldis about getting transferred to SmackDown alone.
While it would be a shame to lose contact with Liv Morgan, it would allow Dominik to prove doubters wrong if he is indeed able to stand on his own two feet without help from The Judgment Day.
