Logan Paul is arguably one of the most impressive celebrity signings WWE made in recent years. Many were shocked about his natural in-ring abilities and promo skills. Although he recently expressed that his time with the company has come to an end, that may not be the case.
Fans last saw Logan Paul on WWE television at this year's SummerSlam where he lost the United States Championship to LA Knight. Many looked forward to when his eventual return will take place, but he expressed on a recent IMPAULSIVE episode that he has retired after becoming a father in September and won't be present for WrestleMania 41. While this may be possible, some signs say otherwise.
For this list, we will look at four reasons why Logan Paul's WWE retirement may not be real:
#4. Logan Paul is still under a WWE contract
Logan signed his first WWE contract in June 2022. In his first contract, he performed at SummerSlam, Crown Jewel against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Championship, the 2023 Royal Rumble, appeared at Elimination Chamber, and faced Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39. A week after The Grandest Stage of Them All, he signed another multi-year contract with WWE.
Since it's a multi-year contract, it's not just going to be valid for one year. If it's a two-year deal, it expires after WrestleMania 41. If it's a three-year deal, then it will expire post-WrestleMania 42. Due to this, it's unlikely that he has already retired when his contract obligations aren't fulfilled yet.
#3. 2025 may be the only year Logan Paul can have one of his dream matches
In November 2022, Logan Paul expressed interest in facing John Cena at WrestleMania 39. Both men didn't get the chance to meet in the ring at the event, but the final chance to do so will be in 2025.
In 2024, John Cena announced that he was set to retire from in-ring performance in 2025. With this in mind, since Logan didn't get that dream match he wanted with the legendary wrestler, next year will be the only time they will get the chance to do so. Interestingly, there were also reports that Cena vs. Paul is planned for John's retirement tour as both are interested in facing each other.
#2. WWE may have a major WrestleMania 41 match planned for Logan Paul
Last month, Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson in a boxing match. However, what got fans talking was the legendary boxer calling out Logan after the match, to which Paul replied by saying that he would kill Iron Mike.
Following this interaction, it was reported that the Stamford-based promotion was interested in doing something between Logan and Mike for WrestleMania 41. Next year's Show of Shows will take place in Las Vegas, which will be a good location for a major match like that to happen, and they may not want to miss out on the potential money fight.
#1. Logan Paul has conflicting words
A month ago, Logan had Liv Morgan on his podcast where they talked about the Women's World Champion's life and experiences as a superstar and also her past. During this, the two also briefly talked about parenthood, to which Logan said that he was on paternity leave. Although he said that he would miss WrestleMania 41, it was evident that he was only joking.
Recently, he also mentioned that he was involved in a media shoot for Netflix as RAW moves to the platform next month. Due to all of this, The Maverick may simply be twisting his words to make his return much more surprising.
