4 Reasons why Penta El Zero Miedo may not debut during WWE RAW's Netflix premiere next week

WWE has run several vignettes on RAW over the last few weeks involving a cryptic circle with a slash through it. Two more aired, with the last one heavily teasing the imminent arrival of Pentagon Jr.

The lasting image displayed many notable features of his trademark Lucha mask—the throwing star on the forehead, red eyes, and teeth. These details collectively teased his potential debut on RAW on Netflix.

With so much planned for the historic show, however, Pentagon's WWE debut may not take place during the stacked episode. Here are four reasons why it may not go down on the highly anticipated premiere of RAW on Netflix.

#4. The match with The New Day hasn't been made official yet

The match stemming from the backstage segment between Rey Mysterio's LWO and The New Day hasn't been announced for a particular episode of RAW. The two sides just had another heated confrontation over a difference of mindset.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods had a heel turn on Big E, which has rubbed most WWE fans and stars the wrong way. While assaulting Big E would have had more of an impact, he may not be medically cleared.

Words can often sting more, but the two sides have had in-ring encounters over the last few months. WWE hasn't announced a date for the match. If Pentagon is the chosen partner, it may not happen at RAW on Netflix.

#3. RAW on January 13 emanates from San Diego

Rey Mysterio is known to be from San Diego, California. He named a famous move after the area code (The 619) and is a huge fan of pro sports teams from the region. Rey is an institution in the area due to its proximity to Mexico.

The match against The New Day could be postponed for the episode after RAW on Netflix. The crowd reaction would be extremely loud, so WWE could save the big moment for the following week.

WWE has already loaded up the episode with huge matches and potential returns of legends or absent stars. Pentagon's potential debut could get lost in the shuffle of all the other big moments.

The former AEW star also has strong roots in the area, competing in many indie promotions. With such a heavy Hispanic influence in the region, the big debut could be in the pocket for January 13 rather than RAW on Netflix.

#2. A big moment for the 2025 Royal Rumble

With so many changes starting in 2025, fans will have much to digest on the first RAW of 2025. CM Punk and Seth Rollins will be wrestling just the first match in their rivalry.

Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley will fight over the Women's World title, but neither may leave with it. Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will battle in Tribal Combat. John Cena is also scheduled to appear.

The Royal Rumble is on the horizon, and it often features returning stars. The match also plays host to other stars making WWE debuts. AJ Styles' debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble is the prime example.

To maximize impact, Pentagon's moment could be saved for the 2025 Royal Rumble. He'd have a proper entrance and wouldn't get lost in the shuffle of everything happening at RAW on Netflix.

#1. A big debut followed by a shocking moment

Pentagon is known as a dark character more than a bubbly babyface. His dark attire, fearless in-ring style, and history are closer to that of an anti-hero or villain as opposed to a Cody Rhodes-esque hero.

He's still a great face like Stone Cold Steve Austin, but that could be used in a special way if he is the chosen partner of Rey Mysterio. If he debuts in San Diego, he'll get a massive reception. However, it will give him nuclear heel heat if he attacks Rey after the match.

Dominik Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and Carlito all turned on Rey since he's a beloved Legend. If Pentagon does the same, it could kickstart a huge program for WrestleMania 41.
