The rivalry between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes has been one of the top rivalries in recent history. While Reigns drew first blood by winning at WrestleMania 39, Rhodes finally got revenge and completed his story when he beat The Tribal Chief at this year's Show of Shows in Philadelphia.

Since beating Reigns at The Grandest Stage of Them All in April, Rhodes now finds himself in a battle against The Bloodline's new leader Solo Sikoa. At SummerSlam, The American Nightmare will face Sikoa in a bid to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship.

However, when he steps to face Sikoa, he won't just be facing him but the entire Bloodline. While Randy Orton and Kevin Owens had Rhodes' back, the former AEW star might need another superstar to step up and help him after the heel faction attacked Orton and Owens over the past few weeks on SmackDown. It seems like The Viper and The Prizefighter will be absent in the coming weeks.

With Roman Reigns rumored to return at SummerSlam this Saturday, In this article, we will look at four reasons why Reigns could be that man for Cody Rhodes at The Biggest Party of The Summer:

#4. Roman Reigns could attack Solo Sikoa to take revenge on behalf of Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman

After WrestleMania 40, one key thing Solo Sikoa did was attack Jimmy Uso and remove him from The Bloodline. Months later, he did the same to Paul Heyman after he refused to acknowledge Sikoa as his Tribal Chief. The heel faction then put Heyman through the announcer's table at Madison Square Garden.

These acts carried out by Solo are something that Roman Reigns would not approve of. Hence, at SummerSlam, Reigns could interfere on behalf of Cody Rhodes, and look to take revenge on Sikoa for his actions against Jimmy and Heyman.

#3. Punishment for recruiting The Tongans

When Solo Sikoa attacked Jimmy Uso and kicked him from The Bloodline, that same day he introduced the WWE Universe to Tama Tonga. Later, he made more additions to the faction when he recruited Tonga Loa and recently, Jacob Fatu.

While these additions have proven to be very effective, they are additions that haven't come by the order of Roman Reigns. This is another reason why Reigns could lead the charge against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam.

#2. To remind Solo Sikoa of his place

Before Roman Reigns could wrestle Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, Solo Sikoa was simply Reigns' Enforcer and he wasn't known to speak a lot. However, after The Show of Shows, his demeanor completely changed and he became the leader of The Bloodline.

Hence, at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns could return in Cody Rhodes' favor and teach a lesson to Soko Sikoa. Reigns could remind Solo that he and The Rock are the ones supreme in The Bloodline, and Sikoa on the other hand still has a long way to go.

#1. To take revenge on Solo Sikoa

Since taking over The Bloodline, Solo Sikoa has said a lot against Roman Reigns. At one point, Sikoa even said that Reigns was not man enough to defend his title and the family's legacy against Cody Rhodes. These statements by the former NXT North American Champion haven't been met with a reply from The Head of the Table.

At SummerSlam 2024, Reigns could save Cody Rhodes from a potential Bloodline beatdown and later explain the reason behind it. This like other reasons could lead to a long rivalry between the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and Sikoa which would be interesting to watch.
