Sheamus has been back on WWE television since after WrestleMania 40. Since returning, he has put on banger after banger, but unfortunately suffered a minor injury courtesy of both Gunther and his Imperium stablemate.
Ludwig Kaiser not only helped cause a minor injury, but he also helped cost Sheamus the 2024 King of the Ring tournament. From there, the 33-year-old star has been tearing The Celtic Warrior down on the microphone week in and week out.
This continued on the latest episode of RAW. Sheamus called Kaiser out, but Ludwig talked smack from backstage. The Celtic Warrior went hunting for Ludwig and the latter jumped the former and the two had an intense brawl.
Now, it has been revealed that Sheamus and Kaiser will clash on Monday next week, but that should not be the end. The former WWE Champion and Ludwig should be battling at the 2024 Clash at the Castle Scotland Premium Live Event. This article will break down a handful of reasons why that is the case.
Below are four reasons why Sheamus should challenge Ludwig Kaiser to a match at WWE Clash at the Castle.
#4. Sheamus wants to shut Ludwig Kaiser up
As noted, Ludwig Kaiser contributed to Sheamus receiving a minor injury during his match with Gunther on Monday Night RAW. That minor injury ultimately cost The Celtic Warrior a win in the 2024 King of the Ring tournament.
Still, it has been the taunting and verbal assault week in and week out from Ludwig that has likely gotten to the Irish star. This week's show proved that, as the pair got into a brawl.
There is a very real chance that the two clashing next week won't be enough for the former WWE Champion. He will want to get his hands on Ludwig until he can finally shut the loudmouth up. A series of matches culminating at Clash at the Castle Scotland could be how Sheamus manages exactly that.
#3. The Celtic Warrior deserves a big Premium Live Event match
Sheamus is one of the most consistent wrestlers in WWE history. He first broke in on the main roster around 15 years ago. While he was still finding his footing early on, within just a few years, The Celtic Warrior managed to become one of the best.
He has done extremely well for himself. Sheamus is a former Royal Rumble winner, King of the Ring, Men's Money in the Bank briefcase holder, and WWE Champion. Still, despite his many accolades, it has been quite some time since he has performed in a premium live event.
Outside of a Battle Royal, Sheamus last competed at a PLE during WrestleMania 39 over a year ago. He should challenge Ludwig Kaiser to a match at Clash at the Castle Scotland because he deserves a spot on a big premium live event card after so long.
#2. Sheamus put on an all-timer at the last Clash at the Castle event
As noted, Sheamus is incredibly talented. The Celtic Warrior has had some of WWE's best matches with performers such as Daniel Bryan, now known as Bryan Danielson, Cesaro, now known as Claudio Castagnoli, Drew McIntyre, and various other stars.
An argument could be made that his greatest match, and one of the best in modern WWE history, came at the 2022 Clash at the Castle event. It was there that Gunther and Sheamus put on an absolute classic. The Celtic Warrior came up short, but he received a standing ovation post-match.
After an all-time classic at the last Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event, Sheamus must be a part of the upcoming one. The two wrestling again after their impending RAW bout, in Scotland, would make a lot of sense and be fitting after the Irish star battled a different Imperium member at the previous incarnation of the event.
#1. A match with Sheamus would elevate Ludwig Kaiser in WWE
The biggest reason why Sheamus should challenge Ludwig Kaiser to a match at WWE Clash at the Castle Scotland has little to do with how it benefits the former. Instead, it could be huge for Ludwig.
Most of Kaiser's WWE career has seen him either performing alongside Giovanni Vinci or in Gunther's shadow. While he has done great as The Ring General's lackey, Kaiser is extremely talented and can be much more than just the second in command.
If Sheamus were to fight Ludwig at Clash at the Castle, it would immediately elevate the Imperium member to the next level. If Kaiser has a good showing or even defeats the former WWE Champion at the show, he could become one of the top stars of Monday Night RAW. For that reason alone, the move is worth exploring.
