The Rock is just one of the several legends who returned to WWE in recent years. While most only had one-off appearances or engaged in a short-term feud for a premium live event match, The Brahma Bull returned to get involved with The Bloodline's storyline, but he may not appear again until 2025.

In early 2024, The Rock returned to start his storyline with The Bloodline, which experienced many twists and turns before WrestleMania XL. The Final Boss returned at this year's Bad Blood Premium Live Event, where he seemingly warned Jimmy Uso, Cody Rhodes, and Roman Reigns after going against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline. Despite his recent appearance, fans may not see him again in WWE until next year.

For this list, we will examine four reasons The Rock won't return to WWE until 2025.

#4. The OG Bloodline just reunited in WWE

On last week's SmackDown, Jimmy and Jey Uso officially reunited after costing The Bloodline their Tag Team Championship against Motor City Machine Guns. As per spoilers for this week's Friday show, Roman Reigns also joined them in the reunion.

Although the OG group is back together, the tension is still fresh, especially between Roman and Jey. WWE may want to explore that area first and then later have them rebuild their reputation after everything they have gone through. The Stamford-based promotion may want to let the reunited group stand on their own first before overshadowing it with The Final Boss' return.

#3. Fans are just starting to like Solo Sikoa

Although many considered Solo Sikoa a dominant addition to The Bloodline in 2022, fans didn't warm up to him when he initially took the role of The Tribal Chief. However, that has recently changed, and more fans now find his character entertaining and worth watching.

If The Rock returns to WWE now and introduces himself as the mastermind behind Solo's coup, it will ruin Sikoa's momentum with fans and his character. The company should let it play out for a bit more so that Solo's character will remain relevant after The Brahma Bull returns.

#2. The Rock returning to WWE in 2024 may be too early for WrestleMania 41

As per reports, The Final Boss has a major WrestleMania 41 match planned for him, a triple threat between him, Cody, and Roman. However, if he returns now, the build-up for that match may be too long and early.

The rumored triple threat is one that the company shouldn't rush into building, but it should also not take too long to build, as it may bore the fans, and they already have an established history anyway. If Dwayne Johnson returns next year, it will be just enough time before WrestleMania 41.

#1. The Rock's return will likely involve Cody Rhodes getting involved with The Bloodline business again

After the 2024 Bad Blood event, Cody momentarily took his focus away from The Bloodline and set his sights on Gunther for their major clash at Crown Jewel. However, due to his extensive history with the group, it's expected that he will get involved again in the future.

After Rhodes won at WrestleMania, Dwayne made it clear that they were next to feud. This means that once The Rock returns, Rhodes will also have to return to The Bloodline's business one way or another. At the moment, Cody should just focus on his feuds, like the one with Kevin Owens, and defend the Undisputed Championship while he is still free.
