#3 He'll have his say in how he wants to shape his character

One of the biggest issues that not even Punk but every pro wrestler has had with WWE has been the total control that Vince McMahon exercises on their characters. There's not much in terms of creative freedom in WWE. When Punk got disgruntled and decided to leave the organization, this was one of the biggest issues for him.
The same was the case with Jon Moxley who decided to leave WWE even if that meant giving up on wrestling. At least until now, AEW has projected itself as a brand that is willing to give the wrestlers freedom in terms of creativity. We've already seen it pay dividends with Dean Ambrose. Dean Ambrose's metamorphosis to Jon Moxley could be the biggest attraction for Punk if he's thinking about joining the AEW.
